Leavenworth, WA!

We spent a wonderful weekend (Thursday-Saturday) in Leavenworth, WA about 3 hours from Lacey. It's a small Bavarian-themed town in the moutains of central Washington. They have an outdoor theatre where we saw Singing in the Rain and we thoroughly enjoyed it - unfortunately they won't let you take pictures so you can't see the beautiful environment where the theatre stands.

Dinner at our favorite place in town - Jager Schnitzel and Rheinischer Saurbraten and German Black Forest cake for dessert! YUM

Hanging baskets are not only on every street corner but above nearly every shop in town.

It took us an hour to walk through this store called Kris Kringl - hundreds of thousands of Christmas oranments.

Crazy hat store - this one's for you Havalah!!

Marcie getting ready to enter the Nutcracker Museum - over 5,000 varieties of nutcracker's from Roman times through now - unbelievable.

Scott with the Great Mouse King at the museum.

Typical corner flower display

Our hotel room had a balcony overlooking the city park and the busiest street in town - here's one view.

If we make it back to WA soon I so want to visit. I love the idea of that Christmas Store. How much fun is that?

From Havalah: Loved the peace sign mom - I'm surprised you still remember the 70's well enough to put that up.

What a cute town and what cute parents I have!

My favorite was the sign you can read behind Mumie's head that says 'Please leave the hats on the heads'-ah ha ah ha! I guess it was on your head though right?
