East Trip 2009 - Kirtland, Ohio

We stopped in Kirtland, Ohio on our way to Erie, PA. We took a tour of the restored city.

The Kirtland Temple

This room in the Newell Whitney store is where the Prophet Joseph received many revelations.

This small room is the School of the Prophets - we had a marvelous experience here as the 2 sister missionaries bore testimony of what took place here.

A blonde-wood chair, made by Newell Whitney, that traveled with them to Missouri, Illinois, and finally Salt Lake. Later his family sent it back to be part of the restored store.

Jeremy and Brigg discussing the inner workings of the Kirtland sawmill.

Brigg in the ashery "tasting" the chemical by-products - a new found career?

That was a great day and a great reminder of how glad I am that I got to serve a mission!

In both family pictures Hyrum looks ready to bolt :)
