Utah visit

Scott had the opportunity this past weekend to fly to Utah and spend a few days with his Mom.  They met Scott's sister and her daughter Kylee at a must stop in Provo:  the 9th Street Creamery for some great BYU ice cream.
Scott's Mom loves BYU sports, so on Friday night they attended the men's volleyball match between BYU and Stanford.  The George Albert Smith Field-house is considered the best venue in the nation to watch college volleyball - it's small but holds about 5,000 fans and there were more than that in attendance on that Friday night!  BYU won a thrilling 4 set match.

When all was done, we enjoyed singing the BYU fight song while fans and players gathered to celebrate.

One of the highlights was attending the Mt. Timpanogos Temple both Friday and Saturday!

Thanks for great memories!!

A 3 Birthday Weekend!

We went to the Oregon Coast for 3 birthdays on January 17-18 and what a blast we had.  On Friday night, after opening a few presents at home, we held Hunter's 6th birthday party at an Arcade in Seaside with several friends, had pizza (followed by cup cakes and ice cream) and played at the Arcade.  The Hillsboro Turner's were able to attend that one as well and we all had a wonderful time.  On Saturday we held Emma and Justin's 4th birthday party at a old elementary school that's been converted into a very fun recreation area for kids - there were many children and their parents attend and after playing their hearts out we had ice cream and cupcakes!  Here are a few of the many pictures taken:

Had to sneak in this one picture in of Dallen showing us his new horse!

Christmas 2013 in North Carolina

Had a wonderful week in North Carolina with Zac, Joy, Anne, Andrew, Jackson and Thomas!
The first day after we arrived we spent the bulk of the morning putting together their new trampoline

Thomas wandered around during the set-up not sure what to think of all the new hardware!
We had great fun playing

The only reason I approved this picture is because Anne's goodness shines so bright!
We went to Reservoir Park in Southern Pines, North Carolina and had a great walk and visit

Games with Grandma Darlin'
Was good to hear Zac play the piano again
Though it was difficult to capture on film, here are a few pictures from the "trampoline at night" sessions

Our time together was well spent - many hours of talking and getting to know each other much better than video chatting every weekend (though we are very grateful for that)!  Thanks for a wonderful week.
