Catch-up time!

Wow - I can't believe our last post was for the 4th of July this year of 2014!  We've done so many fun things since then.  I guess what we'll try and do is post once a month with all the pictures we want to share!  There are several major activities highlighted below in pictures:  1) trip to North Carolina in July to spend time with Zac, Joy and family and let them take a 2 day trip without the kids!; 2) Hosted Luke and Vincent here for a few days while Brigg and Havalah went hiking along the north Washington coast; 3) Trip to Megan and Jeremy's and watched their children for several days while they took a trip to Canada; 4) We were in charge of the ward day of service in September; 5) Jeremy had a dental conference at the Great Wolf Lodge so Scott got to spend some time with the family there; 6) Scott met his sisters in Utah in September to celebrate their Mom's 83rd birthday; 7) Halloween in Oregon with Megan and crew!!  We've been busy and loved it all - so grateful we were able to spend some alone time with all of our grandchildren this summer - what a treat.  We'll try and do better with postings.

July 4, 2014 on Oregon Coast

We enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July on the Oregon Coast with Megan, Jeremy and their family!  We spent lots of time riding bikes, playing baseball, having a breakfast at the church, participating in a parade in the little town of Gearhart, and a couple of days at the beach.  What a delightful time we all enjoyed.

We even fit in an early birthday for Pa - since he only has them every so often!  Thanks to Hunter for his many streamers!
Ah - the best - surrounded by grandchildren!
Some park fun

Yummy breakfast at the church parking lot
Shade was too much for some and they needed the sun:)
Jeremy visiting with the best dressed patriot

 Kinda matching shirts!
 Getting ready for the parade
Several families joined us at Megan's for the beginning of the parade - once the parade passed us we just joined in the march to the fire station for hot dogs!
Some decided face painting was just the ticket on the 4th

The day after the 4th, we went back to the beach and had our own fun - hot dogs taste so much better after being cooked on an open flame!

Hyrum looking at a hat - don't think so!  Jeremy tunneled a long hole where Justin and his trusty hat could hide!

Marvelous weather, wonderful time together:)
