We had a wonderful vacation to Southern Oregon. This is
Umpqua River on the way to Crater Lake. It was beautiful
and sooooo warm in So. Oregon.
The sky was amazingly blue. The only clouds were thunder heads
that could be seen through the trees. I took this out the window
while Dad was driving. You can see the car antennae right through
the middle of the cloud.
We got to the lake and it was raining huge drops of rain.
The clouds just opened and dumped. Thank goodness we
had an umbrella and jackets in the car.
It is so beautiful, even on a cloudy day. The water is an
indescribable blue.
It was in the 90's that day and we could still see snow fields!
There's no way to show how steep the sides of the crater
are. At the very bottom of the picture is the rock retaining
wall we were leaning over. It's a LONG way down.
A nice lady took our picture in the very same spot we
had our picture taken as a family in 1986.

Aww...that is one of my favorite pictures of the 5 of us! (I guess it's 6 of us since Cutie Fruitie made it into the picture as well)
Jeremy & I will have to take our family Christmas card picture someday at Crater Lake. When we're residents of Medford in a couple of years :) Jeremy has been complaining about the heat quite a bit & has said more than once lately 'The northwest is sure sounding good right now' -actual quote.
OK it's 10:30 so I'm going to bed!
that is so awesome!!! I love the old and new picture.
There were never 6 of us lu since cutie fruitie was never, never a part of anyone's family - especially with a name like that!! ah ha.
